A new scientific monograph entitled “Geographical, Hydrological and Ecological Monitoring (Varzob River Basin, Tajikistan) / Географо-гидрологический и экологический мониторинг (бассейн реки Варзоб, Таджикистан)” has been published by Majid Shonazarovich Gulayozov, Co-Director of the Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia (Dushanbe), Candidate of Geographical Sciences, in co-authorship with Ali Rakhmatzhanovich Fazylov, Head of the Laboratory of Hydraulic Structures at the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor.

  The necessary documents were prepared and submitted to the Agency for Supervision in Education and Science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for obtaining the Certificate of State Accreditation, confirming that the activities of the Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia (Dushanbe) comply with the state requirements established for scientific research institutions.

  From April 23 to 28, 2026, an international scientific field expedition was conducted in Tajikistan to study the biodiversity and ecological condition of meadow ecosystems in different natural and climatic zones of the country. The research was carried out with the participation of scientists from the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Northeast Normal University, and the Institute of Botany, Plant Physiology and Genetics, with coordination and support from the Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia.

  On April 10, 2026, a scientific event dedicated to the celebration of the Week of Tajik Science was held at the Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia (Dushanbe) of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
